Wilsons Promontory

Wilsons Promontory

At the most southerly point of mainland Australia sits the profoundly beautiful Wilsons Promotory national park.

Wilsons promontory

The Prom is an area where lofty ranges and forests meet rugged coast lines and white sandy beaches. A haven for native wildlife, flora and fauna.

We spent a day hiking and soaking up the natural beauty of the place.

During the end of our walk we spotted a koala scurrying across the forest floor and up a tree. It was the first time we had spotted one in the wild so we where thrilled when he hung around long enough for us to take a picture. On our way out of the park we spotted two majestic emus in a clearing.

We strolled along under the gumtrees and spotted a few Koalas sleeping amongst the branches. None of them were brave enough to climb down for or a closer look or to pose for a picture like the Koala we met a Wilsons Prom. […]
